Aluminium Hydroxide, Magnesium Hydroxide, Simethicone, and Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose

This combination medication is an antacid, antiflatulent, and mucosal protective agent. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide work by neutralizing excess hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Simethicone is a surfactant that reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles, causing them to coalesce into larger bubbles that can be passed more easily. Sodium carboxymethylcellulose acts as a demulcent and viscosity-enhancing agent, coating the esophagus and stomach lining to provide a soothing protective barrier against acid irritation.

Dosage by Body Weight

For adults and children over 12 years: Take 5 mL to 10 mL (1 to 2 teaspoons) of the suspension 3 to 4 times daily, typically 20 minutes to 1 hour after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Shake well before use. Chewable tablets should be chewed thoroughly before swallowing. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose or use for more than 14 consecutive days without medical supervision.
